Targeted training

Athlete testing

Training at the correct intensities is key to maximising your training by ensuring your sessions are recruiting the required physiological adaptations, making your training time as efficient and effective as possible.


Our evaluations will accurately identify your lactate (anaerobic) and aerobic thresholds, allowing us to set HR, power and pace thresholds (such as FTP) and individual training zones.


All evaluations include a 60min follow-up call to discuss and analyse the recorded data and are available to both Performance Coaching coached and non-coached athletes and are undertaken in our self-contained private gym at our premises.


They have been designed to collect precise and repeatable data through a series of physical tests and blood lactate measurements.

Bike evaluation – £129

Static bike conducted test, after completion of the evaluation the athlete will be informed via email of:

  • Resting heart rate (BPM), blood pressure, body fat %, height, weight
  • Maximum measured heart rate (BPM)
  • Heart rate training zones (upper and lower limits in BPM)
  • Power training zone (upper and lower limits in Watts)
  • Blood lactate levels in mmol/L (at rest, during testing and maximum)
  • Lactate (Anaerobic) and Aerobic threshold heart rates/watts 
  • Functional threshold power (FTP) and power output per kg of body weight

Run evaluation – £129

Treadmill conducted test, after completion of the evaluation the athlete will be informed via email of:

  • Resting heart rate (BPM), blood pressure, body fat %, height & weight
  • Maximum measured heart rate (BPM)
  • Heart rate training zones (upper and lower limits in BPM)
  • Pace training zones (in min/km)
  • Blood lactate levels in mmol/L (at rest, during testing and maximum)
  • Lactate (Anaerobic) and Aerobic threshold heart rates 
  • Functional threshold pace (FTP) & heart rate vs pace



Triathlon – £199

This contains both evaluations, bike and run, at a discounted price.
