"In the last 2 years I’ve smashed my half Ironman goals beyond what I imagine possible and couldn’t have done without Jason’s support. Jason’s taught me the science of training and nutrition but through regular catch ups we’ve worked through challenges of my international role, family commitments and injuries by prioritising the most time efficient training. I’d recommend Jason to any aspiring athlete!"
"Jason has been a massive help over the many years he’s worked with UEA CC; from juggling multiple training plans to providing physiological testing, his expertise has driven several generations of the club.
Jason listens and makes tailored training plans that suit our members’ racing goals, and is always available as a source of great coaching and performance wisdom.
We’re proud to work with performancecoaching.me for all of the club’s training needs!"
"It is a pleasure working with Jason, who has supported me unreservedly on and off the bike, always going the extra mile and beyond, and always approachable. Training schedules are well structured and at the right level to develop my ability to perform and achieve over a packed racing season, leading me to numerous National Championship titles, National Competitions and National Age Records in Veteran Masters Time Trialling and 3rd in the RTTC BBAR"
"I have been working with Jason for the past four years and honestly can’t praise his coaching highly enough. His training programmes are consistent and methodical, however he also listens and is flexible to the needs of your life and feedback. His expertise across disciplines, as well as bike fitting and performance testing have consistently supported me to achieve my goals. His coaching programme is a partnership and I would strongly recommend him to anyone considering taking on either their first event, or to more experienced athletes looking to take on their next challenge with an experienced and professional coach who you can trust "
" I have been physically active and competitive most of my life and thought I knew enough to workout but as I reached middle age and decided to compete in TT I realised I needed specialist help- what I didn’t expect was a routine that incorporated more than my direct goal for power and actively became part of my daily life - working with Performanccoaching.me has been educational, enlightening, successful and genuinely changed how I schedule my daily life- getting a coach was the best decision I made and and I couldn’t recommend them any higher - whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting out"
"I've been working with Jason for almost two years.
During that time he has helped me to improve my fitness across all three triathlon disciplines.
Jason adapts the weekly training plan to my personal circumstances and availabilities and I can always rely on a zwift communication inbetween our weekly calls.
Jason is motivating, encouraging and a true pleasure to work with!"
" My Fabulous Coach -
I started working with Jason in March 2020. I’d dabbled with triathlon, but with two young kids (who were 3 and 5) my training was haphazard!
I don’t have the hours to dedicate to long course racing, but I knew I wanted to have a good stab at being competitive at Sprint/Standard distance triathlon - throw in lockdowns and home-schooling…(!) I needed some help to train smarter not longer.
Jason is a wonderful coach. He gets busy lives. He knows what I’m capable of and pushes the session intensity when he knows I can handle it (body and/or head!) Equally, I don’t ever feel like I’m failing when life gets in the way and I have a sketchy week…or month…! If I want to crunch data he’s got more insight than I could possibly utilise, but if I need a more general keep-on-track check-in he’s always there for me to unpick my schedule & support me prioritising sessions.
I’ve gone from an alright have-a-go triathlete to representing Team GB at Euros & Worlds in 3 years. I couldn’t have dreamed of better progress. Jason coaches me with wisdom, kindness & a whole load of sensible realistic goals along the way. Can’t recommend him highly enough.
(Oh and he also knows everything about anything to do with bike mechanics… and aero-fitting…and testing…Highly essential when I know embarrassingly little…despite owning multiple shiny ones that I like trying to ride very fast!) "
"Working with Jason as my triathlon coach has been an incredible experience. One of the things I appreciate most about him is his support with planning my season. He takes the time to understand my goals and then develops a customized training plan that is tailored to my needs and flexibility required around my job. He also helps me to extract the best from myself during training and racing by providing guidance and feedback.
Another thing that sets Jason apart as a coach is his understanding and empathy towards the challenges that life can bring. He is the easiest person to talk to if you have a problem or need to amend the plan due to life stresses. He truly gets it, and is always willing to work with me to find solutions that work for me.
Overall, I highly recommend Jason as a triathlon coach. His dedication, knowledge, and support have been instrumental in helping me reach my goals and improve my performance. He is truly a valuable asset to anyone looking to take their triathlon training to the next level "
" I have been working with Jason for a year. I was at the time of joining a keen 51 year old mountain biker competing at local XC races also dabbling with a 20/30 mile road rides. My remit to Jason was to be as fit as possible when I hit 60 and to be able to ride with my club on road rides doing 70/80 miles with lots of climbing without dragging my club mates back.
I have learnt so much from Jason. First and foremost I now know that going as hard as you can every ride will never get me there. He listens to what I can and can't do, tells me when I can go hard and not, advises me on nutrition, he builds my program around my life and always ensures that I have enough legs to enjoy rides with my buddies.
So now a year on, I am riding my 70/80 miles rides with my club with mostly a smile on my face, I have more power than technical ability on my MTB and feeling confident in races, even enjoying them.
I work hard and some days I wonder how I'm going to manage the next session, but Jason always seems to get it right, just pushing enough.
Having Jason as a coach has made me accountable to my fitness and health, also I always look forward a catch up once a week, he gives me just enough information to help me understand what he's trying to achieve with my training and obviously his wit and a bit of banter."
